A personal, immersive creative escape for a small group of female artists.

Artists will gather inside a private, curated historic home in Kansas City — to create from story, to connect over food and wine, and to step out of the everyday and into the in-between.

This is not a workshop.

It’s an experience.

You arrive alone with nothing to prove.

You leave the weight of everyday normal- at the door. Here we move differently, we feel first, and think second. We learn to tap into our “shift key”, the other side of painted nice- the side where the art happens.

Inside One Nightstand, we slow down.

We work with our hands.

We tell stories through layers.

We don’t cover flaws, we use them.

We become the story.

One Nightstand, One Story, One Transformation

Each Artist will work hands-on, with a single vintage nightstand. Romanticizing the past, telling a story through art. This is not the clean, pretty kind of art… This is Romantic Grunge.

The dirt from years of Old English buried in every separating seam, the tannins of red mahogany bleeding though.

These are the scars of the many lives your piece lived. The energy picked up along the way while standing tall beside so many beds before you.

All furniture and materials are provided.

Every detail is thought of and handled.

We are creating the kind of beauty that shines brightest when layered in-between the dark.

Late Night Immersive

Late nights stretch gently. Wine stains our lips, Comfortable is mandatory, Conversations deepen, and the shift begins to happen.

Art becomes the language.

But this part is about you… to leave pieces of you that are broken… behind.

This experience is intentionally small, materials are vintage, it’s transformative, and deeply personal.
